FANTASTIC PEARS: Start Your Engines

After Last seasons smack down that was the draft lottery royal rumble, your commish knew it was going to be hard to out do himself in 2013. Sadly while ridding high in first place in fantasy baseball for most of the summer I thought little of fantasy football much less ideas for the draft lottery. Then with the recent nosedive my team took from 1st to 3rd in the last 3 weeks along with the realization that football season was right around the corner. I found myself scrambling for Lottery ideas. While I do intend to revisit the royal rumble method, I might as well just draw names from a hat rather that lazily carry over last years idea into this season.

Now that brings us to This years idea. My thought was since last years lottery was a contest of strength that this years lottery idea should be a contest of speed. When I found out that Jamie lived next door to Canterbury Park I figure we could place our fate in the horses and maybe even make a few bucks off of it. But that idea was scraped after unsuccessfully being able to find anyone willing or able to meet me at the track.

So what did I decide well... its still a race and the outcome will still be decided by horsepower. This years Idea is the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Pocono. The race is scheduled for this Sun. at 1pm and can be seen on ESPN. Not only is this probably the only way to get me excited about NASCAR but since I don't know anything about NASCAR I figure its fair that I'll just be randomly assigning each of you a driver who who's finish time will

decide your draft spot.

The order is quite simple if out of our 10 drivers no one wins but driver A finishes the highest out of the ten at say 5th place than who ever had driver A would get the 1st pick. And so on till all draft spots are determined.

Now for your drivers
